Careers in Digital Graphics

Games Developer (computer science)

1. What does the person in the career do?
A person in the career of a Game Developer is basically creating games. Computer games, play station games everything!

2. Where would you see this person’s work (e.g. in the newspaper, in a game shop)?
You would most likely see a Game Developer's design being advertised in the newspaper, on TV, you might even hear about these games fom your friends. But once these games come out in stores, you will definently see it in game stores, Big W and other shopping areas.

3. What training is needed for the career?
The type of training that is needed in this career is to be good at art, having computing skills, creative with music and more. Each role in this career has different needs. For example, being the programmer in this career requires you to have all of these skills.

4. What kind of software and hardware is used?
gaming software, computers and other technology specialized equipment for this career.

Animator

There are many more careers that involve digital graphics than you think! As you look through the many careers below it will be interesting to see all the different things that people in these jobs do, things you may not have ever thought of.
I have chosen to research on an animator

1. What does the person in the career do?
Usually we all think of animators as skilled people who create the cartoons we love and adore, either for film or movies or television shows. Animators continue to work in these areas, but increasingly, many are employed creating animated graphics for a variety of projects.

2. Where would you see this person’s work (e.g. in the newspaper, in a game shop)?
You can find these people's works in online advertisments, websites and even video games. But where else would be best to see their work? while watching a movie! on T.V!

3. What training is needed for the career?
well to have a career in this particular job, you would first need to go to art school. Art schools offer course work specifically in computer animation and associated technologies.In addition, a strong portfolio of work, which a training program can help you to develop, is an essential part of landing a job in computer animation and becoming an animator.

4. What kind of software and hardware is used?
just a computer to get used to making computer animation or for starters, just a few pencils and papers to learn how to be creative and learn to colour.
